Flag Day Rally and ICE Scream Social – Larkspur Park

Come join Larkspur4Democracy on Flag Day June 14th at Larkspur Park where we will be taking our flag back from the MAGA false patriots by holding our 3’ x 5’ flags hand-to-hand bordering Spruce Mountain Road. Fifty flags will equate to 250 feet, one foot for every year since our country has been founded. If we have a similar turn-out of 300 people as we did for No Kings 2 and 3, that could be over a quarter of a mile long line of flags! Will you join us in showing our true patriotism to the USA, pre-Trump era? We will not give up and we will regain our democracy by letting our voices be heard as granted by the First Amendment!!

In conjunction with showing our patriotism, we will protest the immoral, harsh, unconstitutional and illegal actions of the corrupt Trump regime. No more ICE detention centers and ICE killings of innocent people. No more ICE funding. Bring a sign to protest any of the horrible actions taken by this regime. We will have a special focus on ICE as we then will have an ice cream (aka ICE Scream) social at a park pavilion where you can converse with your like-minded neighbors for a relaxing and fun time in the park with music, games and laughter! Participate as you wish and bring your lawn chairs. Drinks, ice cream and other snacks will be provided. And perhaps you will be able to have some cake and eat it too.

We will have extra signs for you to borrow and if you need a 3-foot x 5-foot flag, we will have them for you to keep for a $5 donation to support this event. Or bring your own flag along with friends and neighbors. PLEASE REGISTER so we can get an expected count to notify the town of Larkspur, a count for ice cream, and to show there is enough interest in the community to host this event as it is a lot work.

Here is the agenda for this Flag Day event:

Pavilion available at Noon – Flags, Signs, Name Buttons and Ice Cream station

12:00 to 12:30 – Pick up your flags and signs as needed at the Pavilion
12:30 to 1:15 – Let’s Line the Street
1:15 to 1:30 – Grab your Chairs and Migrate to the Pavilion
1:30 to 3:00* – Have Fun with your Friends & Neighbors

*if we have any Federal candidates attend, they will be given a 2 min period to introduce themselves between 1:30 and 2:00 pm and then mingle and answer any questions you may have of them.
