No Kings 4- Vote Early – Oct 17th

Please join us at Larkspur Community Park, 8850 Spruce Mountain Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118 to encourage others to vote early. Our No Kings Oct 17th rally will be in the park along Spruce Mountain Road from 10 AM to Noon. Bring your signs and your energy or we will have signs and 3′ x 5′ flags for you to borrow. We need to stand together and this is a great opportunity to do so. Please register on Mobilize (https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1037787/) so we can get an accurate count to notify the town council and local sheriff’s department. Hope to see you there and be sure bring a friend!

NOTE: We will also be collecting cash donations for our local Larkspur Fire Station who has had a very busy season this year, so we want to thank them for their fire and EMS service.

Additional Safety note:
For your safety and others, please stand back at least 6 feet from the edge of the road or as instructed by the safety marshals wearing yellow vests, the sheriff department, or town managers. Only use the two designated signed crossing areas if you need to cross the road. Park in designated areas and not local business lots (such as the nearby Spur and please do not stand in those parking lots).

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.

Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.

Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.

No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
