DESCRIPTION:Our January monthly meeting will be held on Wed\, Jan 21 at the Larkspur Fire Station (9414 S Spruce Mountain Road).  We have a social interaction period starting at 6:00 pm until 6:30 pm at which time we will promptly start the meeting.  We have two guest speakers\, George Jackson and Karen Breslin.  George\, Vice Chair of the DougCo Democrats\, will speak about the Primary election caucus process\, a must for anyone who may want to be a delegate in an election\, and for most of us\, an informative session on how this process works.  Karen Breslin is a progressive candidate who will be vying to take Sen. Hickenlooper’s Senate seat. She will tell us about her background and plans if she is elected to Congress.  Both speakers are open to Q&A so get your questions ready. DESCRIPTION:Please join our pop-up protest on Sunday\, January 11\, 2025\, from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm at Larkspur Park (8850 Spruce Mountain Rd). This is to support the people of Minneapolis and the family of a prior Coloradan and 37 year-old mother of three\, Renee Good\, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent last Wednesday in their city. It is time for the brutal tactics of ICE invading our cities to stop. Similar to No Kings 2\, a coalition of groups are conducting nationwide protests this weekend.  Hosted by Larkspur4Democracy.  Will you join us?\nPlease register at ICE Out For Good Larkspur CO PARK · Mobilize \, or mail us at info@larkspur4democracy.org with the number attending so we can get a count.  However\, you can also just show up ( bring some friends) or drive by and honk your horns to show your support. DESCRIPTION:Our official Larkspur4Democracy Social Gathering will be held at the Bear Dance Country Club  (6630 Bear Dance Drive\, Larkspur) on Wednesday Dec 10th from 5 pm to around 7 pm.  Come join your neighbors to help celebrate all that we achieved this year. Kim and Dave\, who formed Larkspur4Democracy (L4D)\, will be providing appetizers. Drinks and/or dinner will be on your own. The menu can be found at www.beardancegplf.com. \n  \nWe have been receiving inquires about another advertised social gathering which has been causing some confusion. We are glad to see that other neighbors who met during our meetings or events are meeting with their neighbors in their private settings. After all\, bringing like-minded neighbors together was a goal of the group.
